Virtue Radio Interview
Wednesday Jul 25, 2018
Wednesday Jul 25, 2018
The ladies of Virtue are back and there song “Walk It Out” is perfect for the New Year! This weekend I’ll speak with Heather Martin of the group, she’s going to walk us down memory lane and tell us how the group first originally got started, talk to us about their earlier music, tell us why the group went from 4 to 3 members, and what we can expect from their new project “Fearless”! I live in Nashville and we even found out one of the members actually lives here, tune in and fine out which one. Oh let’s take a quick look at a part of their bio: Quickly becoming gospel music’s new “it” group, Virtue’s 1999-released second album, GET READY, served as an Urban-flavored toast to the new direction the genre was headed. Decorated with numbers “Get Ready,” “Love Me Like You Do,” “Angels Watching Over Me,” and “Put Your War Clothes On,” the album skyrocketed to the Billboard Gospel album charts’ top 5 upon its debut. Leading the group to get ready for their biggest hits yet, the next years’ saw the one time quartet move forward sans Sampson and Sumter to transform into an all sister act with new group member/younger sister Heather Martin. The move proved itself fruitful as their first album as a newly formed trio, VIRTUOSITY, would rise to #4 on the Billboard Gospel Album charts and garner four nominations at the 18th annual Stellar Awards including “Contemporary CD of the Year” and “Group/Duo of the Year.”Don’t miss this interview!

He's the last Real Gospel interview for 2015, his story is amazing, his testimony can bring tears to your eyes, and his ministry speaks for itself! Rumor has it, if you’re an aspiring artist or musician and Earnest Pugh is either in the audience or on the program you’d not only better ask the Lord to give you that special anointing but also give 150% effort because Earnest is known to sign people to record deals on the spot after hearing them! It’s been a long time since I’ve spoken with my friend and this weekend he returns to Real Gospel to talk about his new single “Trade It All”, his new CD project, “Hidden Treasures & Collaborations” plus he shares with us how, and why he’s recorded music outside of gospel. For those who haven’t heard of this God loving hit-maker, let’s take a small look at his bio. Earnest Pugh:Last year, Pugh’s now- classic “I Need Your Glory” (it spent 9 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart) earned special recognition from BMI as one of the most played gospel songs of the year. It was also the year that Pugh made two high-profile duets. He invited the renowned church-wrecker Beverly Crawford to join him on a song he wrote entitled “For My Good.” Then, he hooked up with R&B legend Lalah Hathaway on the inspiring “Every Promise.” Both songs landed on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart and make inroads for Gospel’s Leading Man at Adult R&B radio. Moreover, Pugh is now a record executive. His EPM Music Group label has issued hit projects by Chrystal Rucker, Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis, Charles Butler & Trinity and Keith Williams. After years of licensing his masters to other labels, Pugh’s own albums are now released through his P-Man Record label.Okay, nuff said, don’t miss this interview!

Have you heard “I will run?” If so you already know how it has impacted you, if not, take a listen and expect to be transformed! You don’t want to miss this interview!
