This weekend recording artist Nichelle Wilson-Cunningham is back as my guest on Real Gospel with the Xman! You may remember her when the gospel radio tour stopped by my studio and I promised her that I would have her back on to talk more about her project, well I keep my promises and she’s back! Her song “Paise the Lord” has been taking off all over the country, so don’t miss what she has to share! Bio: Nichelle’s contemporary gospel, inspirational single “We Worship You,” was released March 30, 2015. This songs’ energy allows you to long for a place of worship. If you’ve been in a place of hibernation, it reignites your passion for God. A native of Texas, Nichelle’s family is rich in the heritage of Gospel. The granddaughter of a pastor, Nichelle grew up traveling with her parents’ quartet group and singing in numerous choirs. At the age of 5, Nichelle developed a passion for music and knew she would only sing unto the Lord. While currently residing in Charleston, South Carolina, Nichelle has Gospel music in her blood. She is uniquely anointed with a clear and distinct voice, releasing into the atmosphere God’s word that brings about healing, restoration, and deliverance. Early on, Nichelle gravitated towards the songs of Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Tremaine Hawkins, The Clark Sisters, Shirley Caesar and Beverly Crawford. Nichelle’s earthy, soulful, and contemporary sound draws you in. While praise and worship are powerful vehicles to bring others closer to the Lord, Nichelle’s ultimate desire is to stay mesmerized by God and continue to lead others into a worship experience with God. Nichelle is married to Shaun Cunningham Sr. They have two sons named Shaun Jr. and Nicholas, and one daughter named Shanell. Nichelle is a member of Improving Lives Church under Bishop Jonathan Fowler in Summerville, South Carolina where God is improving the lives of His people. He gives God credit for saving him from a near-fatal car accident that he was miraculously able to walk away from with minor injuries. To add to his list of accomplishments, Minister Thomas received an award for CD of The Year and Song of The Year for the DMV Awards (DC, Maryland, and Virginia).Minister Thomas has served as the National and Regional Minister of Music of the Progressive National Baptist Association for three years. He currently serves as the Minister of Music of The First Baptist Church of Fairmont Heights in Fairmont Heights, MD where Dr. Bernard Winchester Jr. is Senior Pastor. Also, Minister Thomas is the CEO of his own music consulting companies, Good Fellas Music Group, LLC and IDT Music Group which provides music as well as music production services to different ministries throughout the US.

Rubi Green Radio Interview

This weekend Rubi Green the daughter of legendary artist “Al Green” is my guest! Her song "God Is On Our Side" is awesome and I’ll ask her things such as, what was it like growing up the daughter of a legend, how did she decided it was time to do her own music and much, more! 
Bio:  
From childhood to adolescents her and  her  two sisters formed a trio, called “The Green Sisters” which consistently performed at numerous churches. While in college her and her youngest sister, Kora, briefly pursued R&B music as a duo. However after graduating from Northern Illinois University Rubi heard the calling of the gospel once again, returning to her roots she  began her solo career.  
 Taking a new edgy approach to contemporary gospel with a fusion of  hip-hop,  her first single “Mountain Top” released in 2010 was the commencement of her new and innovative sound. After her celebrated freshman release Rubi’s booming follow up single “More” was well received in 2011. Succeeding a few years off to cultivate her sound and to tour with her father she came back with an eclectic, and melodic self entitled seven song EP.  The songstress most current volume of work which boasts inspirational lyrics entitled “What’s Sup” is sure to encourage and uplift the soul.      
     Rubi Green is aggressively  transforming herself into the  forefront of inspirational and creative artist within the gospel genre.  Her aspirations are not aimed towards fame or record sells, but to use her unique approach as a vehicle for people to feel the gospel.
