Rubi Green Radio Interview

This weekend Rubi Green the daughter of legendary artist “Al Green” is my guest! Her song "God Is On Our Side" is awesome and I’ll ask her things such as, what was it like growing up the daughter of a legend, how did she decided it was time to do her own music and much, more! 

Bio:  

From childhood to adolescents her and  her  two sisters formed a trio, called “The Green Sisters” which consistently performed at numerous churches. While in college her and her youngest sister, Kora, briefly pursued R&B music as a duo. However after graduating from Northern Illinois University Rubi heard the calling of the gospel once again, returning to her roots she  began her solo career.  

 Taking a new edgy approach to contemporary gospel with a fusion of  hip-hop,  her first single “Mountain Top” released in 2010 was the commencement of her new and innovative sound. After her celebrated freshman release Rubi’s booming follow up single “More” was well received in 2011. Succeeding a few years off to cultivate her sound and to tour with her father she came back with an eclectic, and melodic self entitled seven song EP.  The songstress most current volume of work which boasts inspirational lyrics entitled “What’s Sup” is sure to encourage and uplift the soul.      

     Rubi Green is aggressively  transforming herself into the  forefront of inspirational and creative artist within the gospel genre.  Her aspirations are not aimed towards fame or record sells, but to use her unique approach as a vehicle for people to feel the gospel.
